Diabetics Doing Things: The Drip
Summer 2021
Hope you’re enjoying a hot Diabetic summer (lol) or are at least feeling good, living better.
This is a season of change for Diabetics Doing Things - we have changed the format of the podcast (check out our last few episodes to get a feel for it). It leaves room for regular updates from Eritrea and I, as well as making it feel more like a regular show! I’m really enjoying it so far and I hope you will too.
We also have exciting things coming from our partners, including a BIG giveaway that we’ll announce in August.
Type Zero Health has come on as the Official Fitness Partner of Diabetics Doing Things, so if you’re looking for clean fitness products that won’t spike your blood sugar and don’t have unnecessary ingredients that are bad for you, be sure to use code ROBHOWE for 20% off your order.
In the meantime, I hope you have found a way to give yourself space and grace. I hadn’t been doing as good a job as I needed in giving myself those things, and it was really wearing me down. I hope that you’re able to rely on family and community when Diabetes gets you down. I hope you find the stories our guests have been sharing to be encouraging, inspiring and full of relatable moments.
In my low moments I try to remind myself to be grateful that I am able to live a life with Diabetes - because if I was born at nearly ANY other time in History, that wouldn’t be the case. When I’m down bad, it’s because I’ve forgotten to be grateful.
So I’ll close with this:
I’m grateful for you and the time you spend with the things we make about the things you do.
:)
