Can you be an Olympic Champion with T1D?
Dear ,
Thank you for jumping in last week to help support our friends with diabetes in Los Angeles. This interview was recorded in 2024, before the fires, and guest Gary Hall Jr.’s home in the Pacific Palisades was among those lost. You can donate to his go fund me at this

Gary Hall Jr. was diagnosed with T1D at the peak of his swimming career, and was initially told he'd never be able to swim competitively again. Thankfully, he was able to find Dr. Anne Peters, who helped him work his way back to the Olympics where he would win 5 Gold Medals and 10 medals overall.
This conversation from the Doing Well with Diabetes series in collaboration with the International Diabetes Federation, digs deep into Gary's journey with T1D, the Olympics and a life as a patient advocate.
