January 2023
Partners, Friends and Fans,
Happy 2023! I hope your January has been excellent and your year is off to a great start. We've had a busy month at Diabetics Doing Things, most of which has been spent planning what will be our biggest year ever and our first year with Practical Applications for People with Diabetes at the forefront of our efforts. So what does that mean for you? Here's what we've been cooking up:
36 new podcasts for you in 2023 featuring the best guests we can find. Inspiring stories, helpful discussions on therapies and Diabetes tactics, and the burning questions on my mind as well as our team.
In-person events. We're announcing our first event since the pandemic later this quarter.
Continuing to find ways to help those who need it most. We were able to make 2 donations of cash and computers to Mutual Aid Diabetes in December and Janaury, and will continue to support them however we can.
Working with Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drugs company on their insulin pilot program. Rob is working with the Cost Plus Drugs team on the beta program for their insulin program. It's going to help a ton of people. More updates soon when we get approval to share. Others have talked publicly about this program, but since we're local to DFW we've been lucky to have exclusive access.
Expanding our work with North Texas Food Bank - we've had nearly 150 people with Diabetes participate in our pilot program, and new members are joining every day.
Migrating our email platform! We're going to be moving away from mailchimp to a new platform which will allow us more opportunities to engage with you! Stay tuned for updates
Rob is back on the speaking circuit and will be debuting his new keynote "The Dichotomy of Diabetes" February 25 in Greensboro at the JDRF North Carolina Type One Nation Summit.
More Podcast clips and videos posted on social media
Expanding our Rob & Eritrea show format and bringing you monthly updates about the company, team and the stuff we're building
I also celebrated living with Diabetes for 18 years, and did a little mini-sode for
. Let me know what you think of it!
Looking forward to another great year together,
Rob
