July 2022

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to the DRIP!

I hope everyone is keeping their insulin cool and their device adhesive stuck on during the hot summer season! If you’re looking for my recommendations on how to do either of those things: my go to for keeping insulin cool is the Frio Case and I trust SkinGrip to keep all my devices attached. Those links are non-sponsored, but we’re working on a complete set of discounts for DDT subscribers across our favorite brands, so stay tuned.

During my reflection this month, I came across this quote, and I want to share it with you from a perspective of Diabetes:

“It’s not easy to get better. It’s tough. Our natural inclination…is toward things that are easy. It’s not easy to wake up in the morning and exercise. What are you willing to do that is hard?”

Diabetes is not easy, it’s tough. There are dozens of reasons why - but millions of people with Diabetes wake up everyday and do hard things that go almost completely unnoticed by the people around them.

So be sure to give yourself a pat on the back today for all the work you’ve done thus far, and all the work you’ll continue to do.

I’m dedicating nearly all my personal development time to resilience training, to make myself more comfortable doing difficult things so I’ll continue to share some of those practices going forward.

In the meantime, here are some links to DDT updates:

Have a great July!

Rob
