June 2022

Hello DDT Subscribers!

The hits keep on coming for 2022. As we head into what seems to be another large economic turndown/recession, we would love to use our network to assist employees and employers with Diabetes find their next opportunities and employees. As we continue to talk about ad nauseam, whenever large populations are affected, people with Diabetes are affected. Many companies have already announced layoffs and hiring freezes, which affects income and insurance coverage. In times like these, community can be the difference maker in someone’s life and career.

As a result, we will add a section in the Drip for Job Opportunities and Candidates for Hire, so please use

to share job postings or if you are looking for work.

Additionally, I’m pleased to announce the first recipient of the Diabetics Doing Things scholarship in partnership with

program. The DDT scholarship is awarded to a student who maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher and participates in at least one varsity sport. Congrats to Olivia on her amazing accomplishments. We’re continuing to find ways to provide opportunities for people with Diabetes to get assistance chasing their dreams and pursuing their passions, and hope this is the start of a long partnership awarding scholarships to amazing Diabetics Doing Things.

Finally, I attended my first Diabetes conference since the start of the pandemic-era at ENDO 2022 in Atlanta, and Eritrea attended ADA 2022 in New Orleans. We’ll be discussing the conferences in our next in-person episode, so stay tuned!
